I found the cause. It's been in there for over 3000 miles. I find it hard to believe that no one ever noticed. Not me, not everyone who's been under the car, not anyone from the 2 times the wheels have been taken off to fix the brakes and not anyone at the tire shop which did an alignment on it! And yes, I'm sure it's been in there that long.

I'm surprised the tire shop didn't do a look-over to try to at least make a case for trying to get you to buy new tires from them or look for something like that to try to fix for you.

Damn idk 3000 miles I would expect some tire pressure loss in that time

Here is your fix :p

I dont think that would cause a wobble. What exactly are you feeling? I bet it didnt puncture all the way through. Have you noticed it going low?

Also inspect for bad ball joints.

I found one in my tire yesterday. Luckily it was where you mount a stud and it looks to be a small nail. And tire depth isn't a problem:

Yeah! Me fucking too! It's not like it's hard!

It's not getting low. And it's a wheel shake on the freeway an under braking. I think the extra weight on the tire could cause it.

I would pull it out, I bet it didn't go through. Its not enough weight to throw off the balance anyway. If that was the case, it would shake all the time. Not just during braking. Get the front rotors turned or replaced if they are below spec thickness.

Maybe they figured if they left it in, it would screw up your tire enough to cause you to *need* a new one so they'd get guaranteed business from you... Who knows.

I've never seen a nail in a tire cause a wobble. If it's not leaking, pull it out and see if the wobble went away. I suspect you will need to keep looking.

It's sticking out a bit from the tire, which makes me think that it could be setting it off jut a dash. I'll get it repaired tomorrow and we'll see!

It isn't technically repairable because it's right on the shoulder. Someone might be willing to try, but repairs in the shoulder don't generally hold for very long and they compromise the strength of the tire. What I suggest, is to get a spray bottle with soapy water and spray the nail. Watch it to see if any bubbles grow/form, indicating a leak. If not, grab a pliers and pull it out. It's more myth than otherwise that tire punctures can seal themselves and only leak when the cause of the picture has been removed. Rocks get stuck in tire tread all of the time and don't cause wobbles or vibrations. Trust me, the nail isn't causing your problem. I wish it could be that easy, but it almost never is.
